CANZUK APPG
CalComms is the secretariat for CANZUK APPG. It is a group in Parliament that promotes free movement, trade and foreign policy between Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

This is a cross-party group which works towards achieving a number of goals which involves close trade, economic, migration and security cooperation between the four nations. Our Post-Brexit foreign policy will define this Government for decades to come and how the United Kingdom interacts with countries across the globe will determine how successful Brexit will be.
Media coverage
CalComms have been working to raise the profile of the CANZUK APPG since being appointed Secretariat and work with a number of national and international media outlets to share its work.

Paul Bristow MP (Peterborough) Chairman, CANZUK APPG
"CANZUK represents a unique, once in a generation opportunity to strengthen the bonds between the old alliance of Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. For over 40 years our trading and cultural focus has been with the EU. Now, with us leaving the EU we can once again reach out and create those very special relationships. The CANZUK APPG will seek to explore new opportunities and forge greater alliances with these great Commonwealth friends."

Roundtable discussion
CalComms were delighted to organise a CANZUK roundtable discussion on the 1st March which brought Members of the APPG together with representatives from Canada, Australia & New Zealand. This included Senator Eric Abetz (Tasmania), Ed Fast MP (Abbotsford), James Cumming MP (Edmonton Centre), and Simon O’Connor MP (Tamaki).
We are excited to continue these policy discussions in the coming months and help establish a CANZUK Parliamentary Forum which can regularly facilitate discussions between representatives of the CANZUK nations.
